Classic curettage is a procedure for removing accumulated plaque and tartar from under the surface of the gums, i.e. from the root of the tooth. Given that dental calculus is a fertile ground for the development of bacteria, it must be removed in order to prevent the development of inflammation and to keep the natural tooth in the oral cavity as long as possible. Depending on how affected the area is, we can perform this procedure on one tooth, a group of teeth or all teeth.
